Our 12-Week Support Programme
A real plan for building calmness, skills and self-belief
We look past what a child is doing to find out why they are doing it in the first place.
If we miss why they struggle,
we miss how to help them.
We know schools are doing everything they can, but some young people just aren't coping. It's often not about a lack of effort, it's about not having the right tools. Divergize is here to step in and provide those tools.
How our 12 week programme works.
Working with us is clear and simple. We start with a full profile, then move into small groups and one-to-one time. We track everything so you can see the real difference it makes for the student.
Weeks 1–4: Foundations
Weeks 1–4: Building Foundations
The first stage of the programme focuses on building trust, creating safety, and developing an understanding of each young person’s strengths, needs, and experiences.
Sessions encourage self-awareness, emotional understanding, and confidence through supportive activities, reflection, and personalised strategies tailored to the individual.
Weeks 5–8: Coping & Tools
Weeks 5–8: Developing Skills & Strategies
This stage focuses on developing practical tools that support emotional regulation, confidence, communication, and everyday wellbeing.
Young people are encouraged to build resilience, explore coping strategies, strengthen self-belief, and apply new skills in a way that feels manageable and meaningful to them.
Weeks 9–12: Confidence & Independence
Weeks 9–12: Confidence & Independence
The final stage of the programme focuses on recognising progress and building independence. We help young people notice what’s going well, practise their skills in real-life situations and prepare for future challenges. This is where we focus on confidence, self-advocacy and planning for what comes next, so gains last beyond the 12 weeks.
Personal help that makes a difference
With regular check-ins and a plan made just for them, we make sure what they learn stays with them throughout the school day.
Who we work with
We support young people who experience challenges with emotional regulation, school attendance, and engagement in learning, often feeling overwhelmed or not fully supported within traditional systems.
Emotional Regulation
Supporting young people to recognise, understand and manage their emotions.

We focus on reducing overwhelm, building awareness, and developing strategies that work in real situations.
Our Focus Areas
Targeted support built around real needs, not labels.
EBSA (School Avoidance)
Helping young people who feel too anxious to attend school.

We rebuild confidence, reduce barriers, and support gradual re-engagement at a pace that feels safe.
SEMH & Behaviour
Looking beyond behaviour to understand what’s driving it.

We translate behaviour into need and provide practical strategies that support both the young person and the school.
Neurodivergent Support
Supporting young people with ADHD, autism and other neurodivergent profiles.
Â
We focus on strengths, self-understanding, and strategies that work with their brain - not against it.
